Food
Recognized by all the major food guides, The Anchor offers modern British Cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal and traditional ingredients. We also aim to feature as much local East Anglian produce as possible, hand-dressed Crabs from Cromer, Brancaster Oysters & Mussels, Samphire (Marsh Asparagus) as well as Fresh local Asparagus, Bottisham smoked products and Venison from the Denham Estate. These together with Pheasant, Partridge, Pigeon and Wild Duck in the Winter provide the foundation for our cuisine.
We combine all these ingredients with a touch of individuality, a few more exotic ingredients and a modern light touch to produce food with an emphasis on flavour without being over-fussy.To keep our food at its freshest we have daily deliveries of small quantities of fresh seafood, game etc from market and if necessary the menu can be adjusted daily to reflect a delivery of something special.
Our Main Menu is available in the evening every day and has an extensive selection of starters and main courses. You can follow these by choosing from half a dozen delicious home-made desserts and the same number of unusual British farmhouse cheeses. Cafetiere, cappuccino or espresso coffee, tea, herbal infusions and home-made chocolates bring your meal to a delightful close, but there is no obligation for you to have a full three course meal and the choice is yours.
On Week Days we offer a Set Lunch at £11.95 for Two Courses and £15.95 for Three Courses. (Excluding Bank Holidays and December)
